The outcomes of James Charles' LED Light Makeup challenge were usually not what people were expecting. This video covers what's going on with our color perception in colored lighting that led to the fun(ny) outcomes.
A couple notes:
- The photon and electrical signal are both traveling in the correct direction in the one animation. Light really does have to pass through all of the eye's wiring to get to the absorptive part, at least in humans... mammals... most animals. Animals like the octopus do not have this "feature."
- If you know your color theories, I am simplifying the full computations that happen.
