It took four videos to get through Rule 9 ("Assume that the person you are listening to might know something you don't") of Jordan B. Peterson's "12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos," but we did it. Finally.


In this last part, we go through Peterson's categories of conversation and are told about the type of conversation we should aspire to.


A note that didn't make it into the video: I didn't want to derail the video by discussing solitary confinement (also because we touched on it in the parenting videos). But I would argue that people going into solitary, who definitely seem to suffer ill effects from being in "the hole," are not typically in a good place prior to going into solitary. Plus there's the disproportionate number of people with mental health problems in the prison population, which could also be a predisposing factor.
