Over the time I already took apart three flatbed scanners, ranging from small Canon LiDE USB ones to a large Epson GT SCSI model (links below). Now I have a sheetfed, duplex, networked Canon variant on my bench.
Though it came in a small package, it sported a big touchscreen, two stepper motors and five circuit boards, two of those rather large. Let’s say it was a much more complex beast than the flatbeds I teared down so far.
