In the last video we reduced the power loss in 5V linear regulator by lowering the output voltage of the upstream switch-mode regulator (link below). Now we’ll take the long overdue measurements of the required steering torque.
First we prepare for the measurements: We put markings on and attach a camera to the tiller. Then we’re off to the lake, attach the outboard to the transom of a RIB, and take the measurements. At the end I’ll present the results to you.
