Meet Roger Gagne, the Calgary Climate Change Sign Guy. He was tired of the usual climate change talk and no action. So, he decided to take matters into his own hands. He grabbed his bike and headed downtown Calgary, Alberta’s oil capital, with a sign in hand. He stood right in front of oil company headquarters, ready to engage in the belly of the beast.
Roger’s not one to shy away from a little controversy. He’s gotten thumbs up, conversations, and even a few middle fingers.
But he doesn’t let that faze him. Compared to writing letters, articles, or creating websites, he feels like he’s talking to real people about the real issue of climate change in his own province of Alberta. And let’s be honest, Alberta seems to be pretty much-ignoring climate change.
