![Darkest Dungeon - Butchers Circus - Rebel Yell showcase
#darkestdungeon #butcherscircus #PlagueDoctorForLife
Showcase one of teams named by Red Hook. This video shows 5 win matches.
Rebel Yell is a ,,damage-stress team, here are roles of characters:
1st: Hellion (accuracy trinket + damage trinket) - deathblow dealer
2nd: Highwayman (damage trinkets) - damage dealer
3rd: Grave robber (dodge trinket + stress trinket) - damage dealer
4th: Arbalest (damage trinket + healing trinket) - damage dealer
PROS:
1) Mark synergy (Arbalest + Highwayman / Grave robber)
2) Great damage output
3) Great stress output
4) Great DoT output
5) 2 disruptors
6) 4 deathblowers
CONS:
1) Stress is a menace
2) DoT is a menace
3) Low healing potential
Rebel Yell is a damage team that combines also stress and DoT. All characters are deathblowers (if we count Arbalest’s „Sniper shot“ on marked character), next you have 2 disruptors, 2 (self)healers and mark synergy. Sadly this team is vulnerable against stress and DoT teams.
I tried to play a few strategies, such as „mark team“, „mix damage + DoT“, „double finisher“ and „full stress“. I tried both variantions of Hellion (damager / stresser), it’s better to stick with damage variantion. For Highwayman (bandit / gunslinger), for him both variantions are actually good. And lastly Grave robber (pure damage / DoT stresser), better to stick with DoT variantion.
My advice: Firstly open the riposte with Highwayman, then use Grave robber for applying more DoT, next Hellion for dealing some damage / debuffing the frontline and lastly Arbalest for dealing some damage / healing.
I was looking for this team a long time, if you look closely, the team can make great pressure (4 deathblowers + Highwayman & Grave robber combo). Sadly… it’s not that great, unless you’re playing against easier opponents. In queue I met only novices and darkest players, nothing in middle. And the results were obvious, darkest players just obliterated me easily - specifically 3x - a darkest player with LAME based team [Immortal team], one with stress team and one with damage team. And I almost lost a match against novice player.
Don’t try the “mark team” strategy, Arbalest’s “Sniper’s mark” isn’t worth here, because you need her as damager/healer, not a marker.
Playing this was really hard, even against novices, BUT with RNGsus you can beat even harder opponents. Because of this… mid rate.

#darkestdungeon #butcherscircus #plaguedoctorforlife
This video shows a comp made by Diogee and it shows 5 win matches.
Ace of 9‘s is a ,,stress-DoT“ team, here are roles of characters:
1st: Grave robber (dodge trinket + stress trinket) - stress dealer
2nd: Flagellant (Gauntlet of Absolution + damage trinket) - DoT dealer
3rd: Jester (damage trinket + dodge trinket) - deathblow dealer
4th: Antiquarian (Tears of the Lost + dodge trinket) - stress dealer
PROS:
1) Great damage output
2) Great stress output
3) Great DoT output
4) Great healing potential
5) 2 deathblowers
6) Disruption isn’t a menace
CONS:
1) Marks are a menace
2) Stuns are a menace
3) Stress is a menace
Ace of 9’s is a weird stress team with great strength of DoT and pure damage. All characters can make AoE damage, next you have 2 healers and 2 deathblowers. This team is vulnerable against every possible team, no matter on player’s rank.
I tried to play a few strategies, like „bard Jester“, „full DoT“, „the finishers“ and „mix damage + DoT“. I tried both variantions of Grave robber (pure damage / DoT stresser), both variantions are good.
My advice: Try a different team instead.
Long time ago I watched Diogee’s videos about his „Butcher’s circus crusade“, when he showcased this team. Before I made notes about the setup, he simply disappeared from the scene and all videos were deleted. I tried to contact him via Youtube, Steam or Discord, but no response. So, I had to improvise. And… boi, oh, boy… this was harsh.
Badly positioned Grave robber and so many choices for starting the 1st turn. Probably the best choice for playing was „full DoT“ strategy - starting with Jester, next to Flagellant, then Grave robber and lastly Antiquarian, but sometimes you cannot use that because of opponent (if you will face f.e. mark team, you need start differently). What’s worse… After 1st used strategy I really tried to play „full stress“. IT’S NOT POSSIBLE. At least for me. Why? Darkest players. I played a „full stress“ strategy only against darkest players with stress or DoT teams. Not a single chance to win the match.
After losing my mind and thinking about another strategy, I found on Youtube another video called „Ace of 9’s“, this time by player „Trubbs“ and I like that setup and strategy. But I found something disturbing in that video. His showcased team wasn’t „Ace of 9’s“, but similiar team by Wynterbliss [Gwave Wobber]. Even thou I tried that setup, but I got no chance for victory.
I lost many matches, as I wrote before - against veteran player with mark team, against champion player with DoT team and 3x darkest players with DoT or stress team. Sure, I got only these players, but what’s more funny about this, I really want to play against novices, but when I got them, they just surrendered in 1st turn. So… no victories (probably 6x). Despair was my name in that moment. After that I just stop playing the team and try it next day = 2 victories, 0 defeats.
This team is so bad, that I cannot believe and understand, how the owner could won some matches against darkest players. It’s mystery for me. You can play only “full” or “mix damage + DoT”, other strategies are worthless. No different approaches, no synergies, no original setup and badly positioned Grave robber. And no one will convince me otherwise.
Playing this was like playing poker, but all your cards are on table and everyone can see, what you got.
For another tips and how play this team better, ask Diogee (on Discord) - if it’s possible.

![Darkest Dungeon - Butchers Circus - Uncultured filth showcase
#darkestdungeon #butcherscircus #PlagueDoctorForLife
Showcase one of teams named by Red Hook. This video shows 5 win matches.
Uncultured filth is a ,,damage-DoT team, here are roles of characters:
1st: Highwayman (damage trinkets) - damage dealer
2nd: Hellion (damage trinket + accuracy trinket) - damage dealer
3rd: Plague doctor (accuracy trinket + stress trinket) - stress dealer
4th: Occultist (dodge trinket + stress trinket) - stress dealer
PROS:
1) Mark synergy (Occultist + Highwayman)
2) Debuff synergy (Plague doctor + Hellion)
3) Great damage output
4) Great stress output
5) Great DoT output
6) Great healing potential
7) 3 disruptors
8) 3 deathblowers
CONS:
1) Stress is a menace
2) DoT is a menace
3) Stuns are a menace
4) Marks are a menace
5) Disruption is a menace
Uncultured filth is a damage team with great strenght of DoT and stress. You have 3 (self)healers, 3 disruptors, 3 deathblowers (if we count Occultist’s „Sacrificial stab“ on afflicted character) and worthless mark synergy. This team is weak against every possible team, no matter on opponnent’s rank.
I tried to play a few strategies, such as „full stress“, „double finisher“, „mark team“ and „full DoT“. I tried both variantions of Hellion (damager / stresser), it’s better to stick with damage variantion. And also Plague doctor (stress / DoT), the DoT is better choice. I tried even both variantions of Highwayman (bandit / gunslinger), both are possible, but bandit is much better choice.
My advice: Start with Occultist for disruption, next use Highwayman for dealing damage. Then Hellion for dealing also damage and lastly Plague doctor for healing.
A short time ago I played very similiar team to this [Blood and blight] and it was awful. Now I got the chance to play this team... and its bad. You see, both teams have many advantages, but they are useful only against not expierenced players, and I got only these players. This time I lost only 3x - 2x against darkest players with based teams, 1x against veteran player with based team. Its impossible to win a match against harder opponents, because they will always play based team. I think the positions between Plague doctor and Occultist are crucial, if one of them is disrupted to the frontline, it cannot use some skills. In this case frontline Plague doctor is better than frontline Occultist. Still the team is trash, but because of the score, just a little bit higher score, but still its trash.
