Sheffield is a major interchange station located at the very terminus of the Midland Main Line. It also connects to a number of cross-country lines including the Cross Country lines, the Transpennine Express network, and of course EMR's ridiculously long Norwich to Liverpool Lime Street service.
I spent a little over an hour here and there was never a dull moment. The variety here is brilliant too with 4 operators here showcasing their full variety, namely East Midlands Railway, Northern, CrossCountry and Transpennine Express. Oh, and we managed to catch a freight movement hauled by a rather interesting loco...
