Physical AI—intelligent systems that perceive, learn, and act in the real world—is moving rapidly from research labs into factories, cities, and homes. Yet unlike digital AI, Physical AI cannot scale through software alone. It requires a global ecosystem spanning hardware, data, simulation, deployment environments, and human collaboration. This talk examines what it truly takes to build a global Physical AI ecosystem, and why no single company, country, or platform can do it alone.
We’ll explore how robotics, XR, simulation, cloud infrastructure, and local deployment partners must interconnect to enable Physical AI to scale safely and economically across regions. Drawing from real-world examples across the U.S., Asia, and emerging markets, the session highlights how ecosystems form around shared standards, developer tools, testbeds, and capital—and where today’s bottlenecks remain. The talk closes with a practical framework for founders, platform builders, and investors on how to participate in—and help shape—the global Physical AI ecosystem over the next decade.
Session Speakers:
- Ryan Wang, Founding Partner, Outpost Capital
- Michael Gold, Managing Partner, Depth Map Ventures
This session was recorded at AWE USA 2026 - the world's leading XR + AI event series. To learn more visit: awexr.com
