The Bugatti Destrier has officially made its public debut at Monterey Car Week, giving the world its first real look at Bugatti’s latest one-of-one creation.
Built through the exclusive Programme Solitaire, the Destrier takes the extreme technical foundation of the Bugatti Bolide and transforms it into a completely different expression of performance, craftsmanship and design.
Following its digital reveal earlier in August, the Destrier was presented privately to its owner and family at Maison BUGATTI in Pebble Beach before joining a Bugatti Petit Tour along the California coastline. The main public unveiling took place at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, where Mate Rimac and Bugatti Design Director Frank Heyl presented the car to collectors, international media and guests.
The Destrier is the 3rd creation from Programme Solitaire, following the Brouillard and F.K.P. Hommage. The program represents Bugatti’s modern approach to traditional coachbuilding and sits beyond the already exclusive Bugatti Sur Mesure personalization program.
With Bolide engineering underneath and completely bespoke bodywork surrounding it, the Destrier shows what Bugatti can create when performance engineering meets the vision of a single customer.
