This is a clip from a lecture I went to while at Mayberry Days in Mt. Airy, NC in Sept. 2015. Neal Bower, author of Mayberry 101, interviews Bruce Bilson, an assistant director for the beloved Andy Griffith Show. In this clip he talks about getting the job and going out to Franklin Canyon to work on the opening of the show where Ronnie Howard throws the rock into the lake. Now we have the story right from the horses mouth !
