Distilled by Heaven Hill in Louisville, Kentucky, the Old Fitzgerald 7-Year Bottled-in-Bond returns to its classic wheated roots - a tradition forged in 1870 and now lovingly expressed under the “whisper of wheat” mash bill. This signature mash pack consists of 68% corn, 20% wheat, and 12% malted barley. While exact proportions aren't disclosed on the label, enthusiasts reference a mash bill of approximately 63% corn, 27% rye, and 10% malted barley. This 2025 annual expression, distilled in spring 2018 and aged for a full 7 years, is then bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV). Compared to its non-age-stated siblings, it delivers a deeper oaky backbone with creamy notes of vanilla, barrel char, smoke, and spice - yet remains unmistakably in the high-rye family of Old Grand-Dad flavor. Retailing for around $40, it marks a step up in both age and price for the brand.
