I found a bottle that you may not have thought would work for solar ignition. It's not round and has a diamond pattern molded into the glass. Ahhh, but, I noticed it had the right shape of shoulders and enough clear glass below them to produce a decent focal point. To be honest though, I didn't realize that this bottle was going to produce a linear focal point. That's a topic I've been wanting to talk to you about for a while now. Well, just to let you know that they exist and can ignite tinder just as well as the round focal points. For me, they seem harder to dial in to their most concentrated and tiniest representation in comparison to the round.
I tried some ashed cloth with the bottle and couldn't get it to ignite. I probably would have had more success in the much more intense 12 pm Sun. Please, come have a look at how well the char clothes ignited, follow the LINKS below, and SUBSCRIBE. Thank You!
