Finishing Book of Hours without reading a single book.

About two weeks ago I discovered a glitch technique from Book of Hours that lets you activate various workstations with one slot empty. I went ahead and routed a full speedrun to the "Evening Falls" minor ending using it. This is over two minutes faster than the current glitchless WR, but it could still surely be better.

Generally speaking:
- My mouse use could be better. I usually rely on "quick send" which is slower than just positioning things in slots manually. The current WR by YerAnd is much more polished in this regard.
- Another possible improvement would be to use "backspace" to jump between completed workstations.
- My playing becomes a bit less confident at the end, where you have to deal with RNG and changing circumstances more.
- I had a very solid RNG regarding unusual help.

0:00 - I use the empty slot glitch to think about my diary three times using Memory: Storm. (Normally you'd lose memories after a single use, but empty slot lets you do this action with nothing in the memory slot; hence, the memory does not get used.) Doing this generates more tentative elements of soul than normal, and those will be useful later.

(To do empty slot glitch, I have to hold and drag Memory: Storm into "Examine" with LMB while it is already being sent there with RMB. This causes it to first fly in and then fly out of its intended slot automatically. While it's briefly inside the slot, I can activate "Examine" even as the memory is already going elsewhere. There's more information about this tech on the leaderboard forums.)

0:45 - I do the rest of the tutorial normally. It would be possible to avoid fixing your Health (Half-Soaked) by empty slotting it to skip the 30 second wait, but having a Health for exalting helpers with 1 Nectar is worth more. I use the waiting period to unlock Sweet Bones with Chor instead.

0:57 - After this point the game really opens up, and routing becomes a non-trivial task. Ultimately, I was influenced a lot by the route in the glitchless WR where the player first dries out the diary to get cash and then hires two Miners to unlock the bridge. Hiring temporary help is quick and comparatively cheap, so it works perfectly for this purpose.

The second Miner is exalted with Solace for two reasons: 1, opening the 2nd bridge lock, and 2, because I also want to unlock The Rectory with him. Unlocking Rectory without losing the Miner is possible with empty slot.

1:30 - I then hire the Rector to unlock Cloistered Garden before the day ends. Also, Camping at the first bed is important in this route because this lets me keep Memory: Storm for tomorrow for a guaranteed unlocking of Ruinous Hall.

2:08 - On this route I go dupe cash at Postmistress at the end of the first day, but honestly, it would probably be more efficient to do it before hiring any of the Miners because you're not in that big of a rush during Day 1. I fumble a little with the cash duping too. (Doing this is useful to not have to worry about cash during the rest of the run.)

End of Day 1 - a total of 4 rooms unlocked (plus Rectory).

2:34 - All the tentative soul elements from before turn into actual elements of soul at the dawn of Day 2, giving me a lot of extra resources to do actions with. My route is pretty compact, centered around hiring Rector, Mrs. Kille x 2 and Miner x 2 for a total of 5 room unlocks. Ruinous Hall is the hardest one, but as mentioned, a carried over Storm and Chor take care of it easily.

End of Day 2 - 9 rooms unlocked.

4:24 - Day 3 is Day of the Forge. Inspired by the glitchless WR route, I unlock Denzel on this day (using a Miner) to guarantee a Foresight memory, which makes unlocking Ruined Kitchen guaranteed. Denzel is hired a total of two times to unlock two rooms.

Besides that, I hire Mrs. Kille and also look out for unusual help for an additional room unlock (either Forge or Heart is needed). I had good luck finding that fugitive!

6:28 - I started searching for unusual help right after nightfall to have a ready helper at dawn. Also, I duped some extra cash at Postmistress, which was unnecessary, but didn't seem to waste much time.

End of day 3 - 13 rooms unlocked.

6:39 - Day 4 is where RNG starts becoming more important, and I had actually really solid luck with finding unusual help. Musician for Deserted Well, Nun for Overgrown Kitchen Garden, Painter for Infested Wine-Cellar and Engineer for Despoiled Laboratory! I start searching for new unusual help after nightfall.

End of day 4 - 17 rooms unlocked.

9:31 - Day 5 is the day of the YOLO. I figured I'll unlock one of the final two rooms with Mrs. Kille while waiting for good unusual help, so I exalted her with all the best Nectar stuff. Getting Rain as weather was lucky too. Managed to find a Musician at just the right time, and could unlock final room before the day ended.

End of day 4 - 19 rooms unlocked.

12:01 - Day 6 is the day of "You can't fire me, I quit!"
