This is an old blacksmiths drill that I have decided to refurbish. It is marked PD 20 and was built by Western Hardware and Specialty Mfg. Co. of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. As I simply want to use this drill, it will not be historically accurate. I will be adding an arbor adapter to attach the Jacobs Chuck, and building a bench top frame to hold it up. There is a belt groove on the wheel, so I think Im going to install a motor and gear it for the low speed. I may also replace the auto feed with a larger pulley for hand opperation. Dawn Power Dissolver works great for heavy degreasing, better than any of the usual automotive grease solvents I have used!
