Sick of my slow computer, so I built an entry level gaming rig! This is an AMD based system, very fast and quiet. I consider this an entry level gaming rig that gives me plenty of upgrade options. I am using this setup to process images and video, amazingly fast!
At first I was hesitant to build my own pc, not anymore. I matched specs and looked for quality parts. Cost a lot less than buying a retail system.
Problems encountered:
Can not get into GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 Rev 3, BIOS settings. Solved by using a different monitor! I had an older CRT monitor hooked up, switched it out with an older LCD monitor, the BIOS screen slowed down and the keys worked.
1866MHz ram modules running at 1333Mhz. Solved by disabling Easy Tune 6, and enabling XMP in the BIOS with correct speed selected.
