This is how I make chimney pipe clamps. These homemade clamps hold the pipes together a lot better than sheet metal screws and allow you to totally seal the pipe joint. The joint is so strong after tightening it down, that it is impossible to move the chimney pipe. I tried! My setup was a little crooked so I went to force it into square and it didn't budge at all!
