I tweaked a couple little things. I have it to instead of the score counting up during gameplay to the number selected in the menu it counts down to zero. I figured this is less confusing and simplified some code. I also added a couple little score animation stating the lives are below.
I started the menu setup to where all the options are present (only planets are left to be programmed). All the laser types and special types are programmed.
I also started tweaking when the various gameplay elements like the spaceship or turrets start. For instance, the planetary turrets start to fire once a player's score goes below 5, and only for their side.
I am still working out how the shield and spaceship come into play but I am probably going to implement it depending on the planet chosen. I will also have each planet have different attributes, like gravity.
I did notice some little bugs here and there, like the laser falling from the top of the screen but overall it is getting closer to a test.
