Delaware Water Gap sits less than two hours from New York City and offers some of the best day hiking on the East Coast. Mount Tammany is the most popular hike on the New Jersey side, with rocky scrambles up the Red Dot Trail and easier return via the Blue Dot Trail past a quiet waterfall. Mount Minsi on the Pennsylvania side offers similar views with less traffic. Raymondskill Falls and Hackers Falls are short waterfall hikes worth adding to your itinerary. Most trails here are moderate with rocky terrain and solid elevation gain. Parking fills early on weekends during peak season.
