“Ito po ay ang magandang tulungan ng national government at saka ng local government… Para maibaba ang benepisyo at saka lahat ng serbisyo ng taong bayan. Mapababa nang mabilis at malawak kaagad,” said President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. when he launched the ‘Bawat Bayan Makikinabang’ Program in Tarlac, which aims to strengthen and accelerate national government support to local government units (LGUs) by directly disbursing funds to them.
The President provided Php102.2 million in financial assistance to 511 barangays in Tarlac. The funds were disbursed through the Office of the President’s Socio-Civic Projects Fund (SCPF), further amplifying the ‘Bawat Bayan Makikinabang’ Program. Of this amount, each barangay received Php100,000 for development and safety projects and another Php100,000 for their selected five (5) Presidential Scholars.
“Asahan po ninyo, ‘yan po ang inyong pamahalaan, ito pong administration na ito ay ang pinakakampi ay ang taong bayan, hindi ang aming sarili, hindi ang aming...ang aming mga pamilya kung hindi kayo po. At ito po ay tuluy-tuloy po namin gagawin hanggang masabi po natin ay sana dumating ang araw wala nang gutom na Pilipino,” the President emphasized in his speech.
During the program, President Marcos Jr. also interacted with the Presidential Scholars and distributed 10 kilograms of rice to beneficiaries from various localities in Tarlac
