BattleBots is not glamorous. It’s long, it’s hard, and it’s stressful, but mostly it’s an amazing great time. People getting together, all sharing their passion for robotics/technology and making. It’s also a community of friends.
Tormach loves going to BattleBots and helping to rebuild all the banged up robots. We cut titanium, AR500 armor plate, 4140 steel, aluminum, and UHMW plastic, all on our 1100M+, the 15L Slant-PRO Lathe and our AF50 Bandsaw. But the contestants, from seasoned veteran to a high school robotics group were comfortable enough to jump on the our equipment even tough many hadn’t used a Tormach before. We had many comments on how easy PathPilot was to use.
