I knew I needed to do a song from this game eventually. It was the first RPG I ever played, and the first game I ever wanted to get the soundtrack for. I figured this catchy tune would be a good place to start.
I managed to get through this song without changing the time signature -- a real challenge for me! :P I did end up making it heavy by the end though. I really like the kind of sound I got in the first half, I definitely want to experiment more with that more bass-driven, spacey kind of groovy sound.

This one took quite a while to come out, and Im super glad I can finally share this one with everyone! This was a cover I did for Dwelling of Duels back in June, but the version I posted there is a bit different from this one, as it only features myself, but this one features the amazing Fuzz Pixels, and is arguably the better version as a result! :)
For this song, I thought it would be a fun idea to up the tempo quite a bit and give it more of a pop punk kind of vibe (although with more of the riffy metal style that I tend to do). Since Fuzz Pixels does a lot of Punk/Punk-adjacent covers, I thought it was the perfect song to feature him on, and he did a great job playing the melodies in his own unique way, not to mention the really tasty solo he came up with! Special thanks to him for joining me on this one :)
Make sure to check out his channel as well for some awesome video game covers done in a punk/post-hardcore/emo style!:

Youll probably notice that in some shots my hair is a tad longer, and thats because I filmed some of the video early in July, but Fuzz Pixels ending up being pretty busy when I asked him to participate (it was a bit last minute on my part lol) so I saved the rest for later so I could complete the Mother Brain video in time for 8-Bit Battleground. Its also been ridiculously hot here, so Im a bit unavoidably sweaty, and my hair is super untamed in said shots lol
