In this video we're going to be getting started with the Bambu Lab A1 Mini combo 3D printer and multi material AMS Lite - I'll walk you through everything from the unboxing to our first print using the AMS Lite for automated color changes resulting in beautiful multi color prints.
The A1 mini was released in 2023 and remains one of the best budget 3D printers on the market. Its continued relevance and support is a testament to how great of a 3D printer this is!
We will also discuss the use of Bambu Studio slicer and perform some mini print projects with a variety of filaments and colors.

The Bambu Lab A1 Mini features a 180x180x180mm build volume and a premium list of features on a modern 3D printer and remains one of the best value printers available today. Print multi color models using the AMS-Lite. Incredible bargain for beginners!
The A1 mini also features on board time-lapse camera with AI print failure detection, connectivity to the Bambu Handy mobile app, and so much more.
The Bambu Studio slicer is also well equipped with a ton of material presets for very popular filament brands and the profiles are tuned for those brands such as eSun, Polymaker, etc. As you should expect, the Bambu Lab branded filament prints excellent on their own machines.

Overall, I would recommend the Bambu Lab A1 Mini for beginner and advanced users alike. Even for advanced users it is a compact unit that produces dimensionally accurate parts in a small form factor.
Bambu Lab is producing nicely polished machines with less user-development and upgrades required than other brands from what I can see. They've done a very nice job of trying to make 3D printing as easy as possible at this stage in the technology.
If you are new to 3D printing I still think you should have realistic expectations of the learning curve involved with the hobby. The machine works well out of the box but if you happen to run into issues you will likely get frustrated at first. Take a deep breath, stick with it and don't give up! It doesn't matter if you have a Creality, Bambu Lab, or any other popular high speed printer of this era, eventually you will need to do some troubleshooting. Stick with it!
