In this video, I’m taking the xTool F2 Ultra UV laser for a deep dive into sub-surface (inner) crystal glass engraving. I’ll walk you through the entire workflow including cleaning up STLs in Blender (ie. consolidating multi part models for engraving) as well as generating 3D models using xTool’s Atomm AI service. We will also explore texture engraving and the two other main engraving modes: Dotting and Scanning.
The result will be some outstanding looking projects like Davy Jones from the Pirates of the Caribbean, the HMS Victory naval ship, and a very menacing looking pouncing Jaguar with realistic texture.
