In this video I will show you how to remove your filament on the Creality K1 to prevent extruder jams which seems to be common. I believe the root cause is the small amount of filament that gets pinched off by the extruder gears if the extruder is not unlocked before pulling the filament out.
If your extruder does get clogged or jammed, I will show you how to disassemble your extruder and clear the jam. This happened to me before I started unlocking my extruder before pulling the filament out and has not happened since.
I will also show you how to install a hardened steel nozzle on the Creality K1 so that you can print abrasive filaments like carbon fiber nylon or carbon fiber PETG.

Note that this may not be the only source of extruder jams as there have been reports of filament jams possibly caused by printing PLA with the lid and door closed. The PLA may soften in the extruder before the hotend and get jammed, however I do believe the issue that I address in this video is more common.
Also note that an extruder jam is different than a hot end jam and that is a completely different set of problems if you are experiencing hot end clogging. If you can't get your hot end jam cleared out you might need a new hot end and nozzle. (As an Amazon associate I may earn a small commission at NO extra cost to you):

If you have the old "Volcano" style nozzle with the early K1 and K1 Max, I have hardened steel nozzles for those machines here:

If you continue to have under extrusion issues, you may want to check the tension on your extruder drive gears. I have a video explaining that here:

If this is your problem you can get new gears or replace the whole extruder.
