In this video we're going to be getting started with the Anycubic Kobra S1 Max combo 3D printer and multi material ACE 2 PRO - I previously posted a video about the unboxing and setup and here we are going to be running through a variety of prints and materials to see what we can achieve with the Kobra S1 Max Combo!
I will also be showing the print setups with Anycubic Next slicer and perform some mini print projects with a variety of filaments and colors to assess the quality of this machine.

The Anycubic Kobra S1 MAX features a 350x350x350mm build volume and a premium list of features on a modern 3D printer. It claims to handle materials like PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, nylon, polycarbonate, and carbon fiber composites effortlessly. The hardened steel hotend reaches 350Β°C, the heatbed hits 120Β°C, and the active heated chamber maintains up to 65Β°C for warp-free results.
The Anycubic Kobra S1 MAX also features four independent brushless motors, on board time-lapse camera with AI print failure detection, high torque extruder, and an hardened quick release steel nozzle.
The Kobra S1 MAX can be purchased with the ACE 2 PRO as a combo kit or without. The ACE 2 PRO features an RFID filament tag reader, and it can double as a filament drying box! You can also daisy chain multiple ACE 2 PRO units together to print up to 24 colors!
The Anycubic Next slicer is also well equipped with a ton of material presets for very popular filament types and the profiles appear to be accurately tuned.

Overall, from my initial testing I would recommend the Anycubic Kobra S1 MAX for beginner and advanced users alike. If you can afford the combo kit you will get very nice multi color prints as shown in the video.
The Kobra S1 MAX is also very quiet for such a large machine and the massive 350 x 350 x 350 mm build volume is perfect for oversized projects like cosplay helmets, prototypes, or batch production.
This machine is a very nice step for Anycubic producing nicely polished machines with less user-development and upgrades required than in the past. They've done a very nice job of trying to make 3D printing as easy as possible.
If you are new to 3D printing I still think you should have realistic expectations of the learning curve involved with the hobby. The machine works well out of the box but if you happen to run into issues you will likely get frustrated at first. Take a deep breath, stick with it and don't give up! It doesn't matter if you have a Creality, Bambu Lab, or any other popular high speed printer of this era, eventually you will need to do some troubleshooting. Stick with it!
