In this AU Balto used to long to be a dog but he still wasn't truly accepted. And the wolf side he always was hiding is torturing him, Balto finally lets it out and decided to try live in the forest. But when he comes there, he feels even more hurt.
Big Mama finds Balto, she feels sorry for his and says he could stay here, she would help. She brings Vixey next day, Vixey grew up in the forest, she is the same age as Balto and she likes helping animals with Big Mama.
Balto and Vixey liked each other from the first sight, and Vixey says she knows a place near her hole where Balto can stay, it's a big wooden ship where humans used to live centuries ago.
Big Mama is so glad to see Balto is feeling better, and in some time he and Vixey are becoming a happy couple.
