BOO!! and happy new years!! šš i made all of this *today* after thinking of animating to this silly tune yesterday. the creative juices were flowin!! this song was originally going to be an introduction to my rainworld ocs and how non-canon theyāve become, but a sillier idea struck and now we have this! maybe the original can come to fruition some other time, but let me share with you what this is for now:
šstory? : a take on ANIMAL WELLās wiener dog and their relationship with the pack (visuals) from The Manticoreās criticizing perspective (lyrics). they are welcomed despite their breed and taught to howl under the rule of GHOST, and The Manticore hates them for it B]. Mant is just generally mad really. So happy ending!!! besides that it was an excuse to animate something silly to something familiar
also can you tell i usually draw dragon critters and slugcats? i think that makes this a lot funnier. i love these shapely creatures so much āvā
š„EASTER EGG : can you spot the hidden slugcat that isnāt at the end? for any animal wellers i may have attracted with this video, a slugcat looks like a rabbit-rodent thing with a big tail! an example is at the end at the bottom (but that one isnāt what iām looking for :wink:)
all in all this was an experimental animation with the apple pencil i borrowed from my sibling. i practiced transitions, discovered new tactics, and enjoyed myself :D (animating incomplete lineart is easier than colored figures iāve found). consider any animation mistakes as easter eggs!! iām really happy to have just animated again after quite a time not doing so. lets go self expression and growth!!!
