Seliph is one of those units that have the perfect skillset for this series. The most important thing for a really powerful unit to have is Nihil, which he gets naturally. But obviously, if you don't have the bulk to back it up, you may run into some issues like Calill in this series. For Seliph, however, his HP is at the cap, he gets to the 50+ mark in his Def and he has a weapon that grants him an extra 20 Res to get it close to 57. He still has to deal with the horse-slaying weapons, but overall he is incredibly tanky. The other issue that units with Nihil struggle with would be if they have low Lck, since that is the only way for units to get in massive damage against them since Nihil blocks all of their skills. But again, Seliph shines in this department as well, as he has 55 Lck, getting rid of a lot of those pesky 5-10% crits that everyone would have with regular weapons. He also has access to Wishblade, which gives +5 Lck, further increasing his Ddg rate. He will still run into some issues with high crit units like the Trueblades or any units with high Str with killer weapons, but those are few and far between. But even that isn't a guarantee to defeat him since his personal weapon, the one that I said gives +20 Res, Tyrfing, also gives him access to Miracle. So, to put it all into perspective, you have a ridiculously bulky unit with a good innate Ddg rate alongside a 30 Mt weapon that increases Skl/Spd/Res by 10/10/20 and a roughly a 50/50 chance to survive any lethal attacks when equipped with said weapon. Yeah, he's completely broken.
