The King of the Lions is finally ready to go! Caineghis is unfortunately very frail on the Resistance side of things, so he is often defeated by just one Rexflame attack. His low HP, relative to other laguz, also poses a problem for him to the point where other types of magic work just as well against him. So, if he is either initiated on or fails to finish off a unit when he does have the chance to go first, he will crumble against anything magic related. However, when he does get to get a hit in, he does loads of damage with his 70 Str which makes his Roars a guaranteed OHKO. He also doesn't need to worry about crits at all because of Fortune bailing him out, so any of the laguz weapons on units with actual crit rates can't defeat him with that method. And even then, he won't have much problem against them even if they could crit him because of the 62 Def that he's sporting. His speed is also much better than his nephew, Skrimir, at 50, which means that he'll get more opportunities to initiate first. And speaking of initiating first, he has quite the good mastery proc chance since Roar procs off of the unit's Str stat and not Skl (But I guess the difference wouldn't be by mich since he already has a really high Skl stat as well!). So, whenever he gets a chance to attack, he'll have a 35% chance to end the fight right then and there. But, as per usual with these types of units, they need to get to a point where they can actually attack.

The Long Road [Inferno] – Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes
The unit with the higher base speed will initiate first. (If unit has Shade or Stillness they will always choose who goes first). If both units have the same speed, the unit whose video it is will go first.
For weapons, the unit who is faster chooses the weapon they want the unit they are attacking gets to choose a weapon to counter them with. The unit who attacks first, goes through all the possible weapon combinations and picks whatever situation would give them the best chance at victory. After the initial turn, the only time a unit can change their weapon is on their turn.
