Romblomanon is an Austronesian language spoken primarily in the province of Romblon, located in the Mimaropa region of the Philippines. It is one of the languages of the Visayan language family, sharing similarities with neighboring languages like Hiligaynon and Cebuano. Romblomanon is spoken by around 100,000 people, particularly in the islands of Romblon, Sibuyan, and Tablas. The language has various dialects and incorporates influences from Spanish due to centuries of colonial presence. Despite its relatively small number of speakers, Romblomanon remains a vital part of local cultural identity, particularly in oral traditions and community events.
