Welcome to my channel! This is Andy from I love languages. Let's learn different languages/dialects together.

Filipino is the national language of the Philippines and serves as a standardized form of Tagalog, one of the country's major languages. It is based on Tagalog but incorporates elements from various Philippine languages, as well as foreign languages such as Spanish, English, and Chinese, reflecting the archipelago's diverse linguistic and cultural heritage. Filipino is used in government, education, and media, promoting national identity and unity among the Filipino people. As a language, it continues to evolve, adapting to modern influences while maintaining its roots in indigenous traditions.

Hiligaynon, also known as Ilonggo, is an Austronesian language spoken primarily in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines, particularly in the provinces of Iloilo, Guimaras, and Negros Occidental. It is one of the major languages in the Philippines, with over 9 million speakers. Hiligaynon belongs to the Visayan language family, sharing similarities with other Visayan languages like Cebuano and Waray. It is known for its melodic intonation and distinct vocabulary, and is used in various domains, including education, media, and local governance in the regions where it is spoken. While it has been influenced by Spanish and other neighboring languages, Hiligaynon retains its own unique linguistic features and rich cultural heritage.

This video is created for educational, language awareness, and language preservation purposes. It aims to provide valuable insights and knowledge to viewers, enhancing their understanding and appreciation of different languages and their unique characteristics. By raising awareness about linguistic diversity, the video seeks to foster a greater respect and recognition for various languages, particularly those that are endangered or underrepresented. Additionally, it contributes to the preservation of languages by documenting and sharing linguistic knowledge, thus ensuring that these languages and their cultural heritage are not lost to future generations.
