How to emergency #unlock automatic transmission in Audi #A3 (8V) (also S3 and RS3) with S-Tronic DSG #gearbox to shift it from Park to Neutral. If you don't have electric power, transmission is not working, car was damaged, or whatever other reason you have, there's a way to override the gearbox safety lock mechanism. Follow this DIY tutorial in your car.
â ī¸ Make sure that you car will not roll without control when you shift it from P to N. Engage handbrake or put something under the wheels.
âšī¸ You need to remove leather trim around the shift knob, reach under the sound isolating foam, and press yellow tab that buried deep underneath. With the tab pressed, you can press the button on the shift knob and move the lever from P to N. This will allow you to tow the car or put it on a flat bed. You don't need electrical power to do so.
