Athens Services' contract in Palos Verdes requires them to provide a backyard garbage collection service to all of the city's residents. This has proven a good method to save the residents the time and hassle of dealing with garbage cans, so they separate out their waste into 2 streams (mixed waste and green waste) into manual barrels and cans on the side of their homes. What is super cool about this contract in particular is that the Athens crews still use old NorCal toters to haul the trash back up to the truck.
