Atelier Yumia The Alchemist of Memories and The Envisioned Land is now available on Nintendo Switch 2, and this video covers the first 45 minutes of gameplay from the very beginning of the game.
Released on June 9th 2026, captured on Nintendo Switch 2.
Atelier Yumia is the latest entry in the long running Atelier series from Gust and Koei Tecmo, following Yumia Liessfeldt, a young alchemist living in a world where alchemy has been outlawed and feared for generations following a catastrophic event known as the Great Calamity. The opening 45 minutes establish Yumia as a protagonist with a strong personal connection to the forbidden art of alchemy, as she ventures into the ruins of the old world in search of answers about her own past and the truth behind what alchemy really is.
Atelier Yumia introduces a more action oriented combat system compared to previous entries in the series, alongside open world exploration and the series staple synthesis and crafting system. For longtime Atelier fans and JRPG newcomers alike, this first look gives a thorough introduction to everything the game offers from the very start.

![Splatoon Raiders Review - Better Than It Has Any Right to Be?
Splatoon Raiders is the first standalone spin-off in the Splatoon franchise, and this is my full review after playing through the campaign and endgame on Nintendo Switch 2.
Reviewed on Nintendo Switch 2. Score: [insert score] out of 10.
Splatoon Raiders is a major departure for the series, swapping competitive Turf War and Ranked Battles for a single player focused PvE looter shooter. You play as the Mechanic, crash landed on the Spirhalite Islands alongside Deep Cut, raiding Salmonid held territory for treasure, loot and gear upgrades. It is a bold new direction, and the review digs into how well that gamble pays off across the gameplay loop, the progression, the boss encounters and the substantial endgame content in the Bottomless Buffet.
The review covers the raiding and looting core, how the Exploration Bots and Deep Cut factor into each raid, the depth of the build and gear upgrade systems, the variety across the islands and subterranean areas, the boss fights, and how the game holds up in both solo play and the optional four player co-op. It also touches on performance and presentation on Nintendo Switch 2, and who the game is really for.
Whether you are a longtime Splatoon fan unsure about the spin-off direction, a newcomer curious whether this is a good entry point, or simply weighing up whether it is worth your money, this review covers everything you need to make the call. Let me know in the comments if you are picking it up. Subscribe for more Nintendo Switch 2 reviews and coverage.
