Playing the Gold Saucer minigame Air Force One in Final Fantasy XIV on Nintendo Switch 2, using the Joycon mouse mode.
Captured on Nintendo Switch 2.
Air Force One is one of the Gold Saucer's GATE minigames, an on-rails shooter where you ride a preset course and shoot down as many cactuar targets as possible for MGP, while avoiding Ruby Bombs that dock your score. Because the entire minigame is built around aiming and firing at targets that spawn, move and overlap across the screen, it turns out to be a brilliant match for the Nintendo Switch 2's Joycon mouse mode, which lets you aim with the precision of a pointer rather than a control stick.
This video shows Air Force One played entirely in mouse mode, giving a real look at how well the Switch 2's signature control feature works in a game that genuinely benefits from it. For a minigame that is otherwise pretty relaxed, the added precision of mouse aiming makes lining up targets and chasing a high score feel great.
Whether you are an FFXIV player curious about how mouse mode handles in the Gold Saucer, a Switch 2 owner interested in seeing the Joycon mouse feature in action, or simply here for some Air Force One gameplay, this video gives you a look. Subscribe for more FFXIV Switch 2 content.

![Splatoon Raiders Review - Better Than It Has Any Right to Be?
Splatoon Raiders is the first standalone spin-off in the Splatoon franchise, and this is my full review after playing through the campaign and endgame on Nintendo Switch 2.
Reviewed on Nintendo Switch 2. Score: [insert score] out of 10.
Splatoon Raiders is a major departure for the series, swapping competitive Turf War and Ranked Battles for a single player focused PvE looter shooter. You play as the Mechanic, crash landed on the Spirhalite Islands alongside Deep Cut, raiding Salmonid held territory for treasure, loot and gear upgrades. It is a bold new direction, and the review digs into how well that gamble pays off across the gameplay loop, the progression, the boss encounters and the substantial endgame content in the Bottomless Buffet.
The review covers the raiding and looting core, how the Exploration Bots and Deep Cut factor into each raid, the depth of the build and gear upgrade systems, the variety across the islands and subterranean areas, the boss fights, and how the game holds up in both solo play and the optional four player co-op. It also touches on performance and presentation on Nintendo Switch 2, and who the game is really for.
Whether you are a longtime Splatoon fan unsure about the spin-off direction, a newcomer curious whether this is a good entry point, or simply weighing up whether it is worth your money, this review covers everything you need to make the call. Let me know in the comments if you are picking it up. Subscribe for more Nintendo Switch 2 reviews and coverage.
