I reviewed the Ardbeg Committee release of Dark Cove. It’s a no age statement 55% Ardbeg that contains a good dose of sherry matured Ardbeg. That being said, I decided to review it alongside the other sherried Ardbeg, Uigeadail. While there’s no official comment on which “dark sherry casks” went into Dark Cove, I have come to feel that it does contain a decent amount of PX matured Ardbeg.
As of 04-01-2016, my current bottle count stands at over 2,200 bottles. I am a Certified Specialist of Spirits and have also been certified by the Tequila Regulatory Council (CRT). I've been actively collecting for the last two decades and what started as a small basic home bar has transformed (with the help and understanding of my wonderful wife) into what I think is a pretty nice collection.
