Earlier this year, I bought a "ROM Version 4 Model A2S4100" Apple //c from eBay (the place where I buy the things I later regret™). I verified that it did power up, but I had misplaced my floppy disk box so I couldn't run MECC Computer Inspector. I think it's about time that we complete the inspection.
In addition, the Apple //e that I bought on eBay for $132.38 total was delivered on Tuesday. It's... interesting. When I showed the pictures of it on Dave's stream the Sunday before last, it became apparent that it wasn't in an Apple //e case. Now that I have it in-hand, I don't know why someone did what they did. But there are expansion cards and interesting mods to inspect. Plus we need to see if it even works.
Will we find any surprises in the Apple //c? Will we figure out the mystery of the Apple //e? And what case *is* the Apple //e in? You'll have to watch to find out!

Desolder me down (Repair)

Or something like that...
Theres three rows of bad sockets left in COMPUTER, so the project to replace all the original sockets is in the home stretch. With each new row of sockets, both the appearance of the motherboard and my confidence in a fully-working COMPUTER increases. Maybe tonights the night.
Will I get the remaining sockets replaced tonight? Will I be able to test the board? Will I find a mistake the had way? Youll have to watch to find out!
