VCF East is a vintage computing festival run by the @vcfederation, and is held every April at the InfoAge Science and History Museums in Wall Township, New Jersey, USA.
For VCF East 2025, my exhibit titled "My Story Starts With A Computer™" was approved and I eventually made it off the wait list - hooray! Since VCF East is happening this weekend (April 4-6, 2025), I need to get busy doing final preparations, which includes working on items for my exhibit.
What computers do I want to exhibit? Which of them need work? Will I get any of them working? You'll have to watch to find out!

If COMPUTER, my MCA Apple ][+ Clone, could sing, it might be singing:
Desolder me down (Repair)
You desolder me, you desolder me
Or something like that...
Theres three rows of bad sockets left in COMPUTER, so the project to replace all the original sockets is in the home stretch. With each new row of sockets, both the appearance of the motherboard and my confidence in a fully-working COMPUTER increases. Maybe tonights the night.
Will I get the remaining sockets replaced tonight? Will I be able to test the board? Will I find a mistake the had way? Youll have to watch to find out!
