I've been learning Māori for a while now and I'm currently adapting some of my favourite songs into the language! So here's one that I adapted on August which is ''Once Upon a December''! Thanks to ManiaGirl for providing her voice for Anastasia (and I think she really fitting), and hope you enjoy this cover!

This was really difficult to do lmao, it took my hours to translate it and transcript it, so I hope you enjoy it Since we dont have the official lyrics these are the words that I could hear so they might not be 100% correct. Now its difficult to translate Māori to English since they are 2 completly different languages if you see it from grammar and sentence structure. I chose to translate it more freely and less literally so it can make more sense. Its a bit difficult to catch all the words since I guess Jaedyn doesnt pronounce some letters so she can keep up with the instrumental so there are probably some mispronounciation because of that, I guess a native speaker can tell what words she is mouthing. Same goes for Rachels pronounciation, which in this case she is speaker really flowly and some consonants are flowing away. Despite all these they both did amazing really love them hehe! *NOTES:* in 3:24 ,Waitā and Waitī are stars of the Pleiades constellation, which are known in English as Maya and Taygeta. Waitī (Maia) and Waitā (Taygeta) are associated with food and water, one is male and the other female. Also believe it or not theres not a Māori word for Snowman unless you just build up one like Tangata o te huka = Man of snow ≈ Snowman *NOTES:* From my understanding Anna at the last verse uses two different versions of the word manawa which can mean both breath and heart.
