I arrived early morning only to find two chicks left in the nest.
Dad did a drop-&-go breakfast delivery. The two chicks started eating on their own. Their remaining sibling who was perched right up the tree trunk did not attempt to join in.
The chicks were putting on beautiful displays of their preflight capabilities - they were now able to remain airborne as they flapped their wings. Flying off to land on the tree trunk also appeared effortless.
Nicknamed Singapore's Bald Eagle, the Brahminy Kite is a medium sized raptor of about 45-50cm.
Brahminy Kites are common residents of Singapore.
