This amazing green infill project is not only providing desperately needed affordable housing, this 16-unit project was built to the Passive House standard which means it requires only about 10% of the energy of a regular home to heat. The green project has enough solar on the roof to reach net-zero for 10 of the 16 suites. The project used an innovative wall system, insulated concrete forms for the foundation and is heated by Air Source Heat Pumps which sailed through last winter when temperatures dipped to -40C without backup heat!
