Aluminising the Primary Mirror of the Radcliff 74-inch (1.9-m) Telescope, build by Grubb-Parsons, Newcastle-on-Tyne, England in 1938. This (mostly timelapse) video takes you through the full procedure of aluminising the telescope's primary mirror. The whole process takes two-and-a-half days to get the telescope back on sky (one night for checking/adjusting the collimation).
