During a ZOOM staff meeting of South Africa's lockdown day number 25, SAAO Director, Petri Vaisanen, suggested that staff think of a joint activity in which everybody could participate. Some sort of a "chain" video was suggested and staff were asked for ideas.
Three ideas were thought to be workable:
1) Passing on a Hi-Five.
2) Showing off your favourite dance move.
3) Passing on an inspiring quote from the director by means of "word posters".
Families and pets were also encouraged to participate. It was a little disappointing that only about a dozen people responded, but this is the result of making the best of the available footage.
The music used is by The Starlets - Isolation ABBA Medley. An ABBA lockdown parody video featuring The Starlets. Directed by Georgia Heard. Vocals by The Starlets and instruments performed by Alex Harmer, were recorded in isolation.
