The Sheekey Science Show | AKG prevents age-related bone loss? (& free giveaway) @TheSheekeyScienceShow | Uploaded November 2020 | Updated October 2024, 4 days ago.
More good news for potential osteoporosis treatments this year. Following on from my previous video looking at how warmth-induced changes within the microbiome prevented decline in bone mass seen in osteoporosis, this new study shows how alpha-ketoglutarate (AKG) may have a similar effect. The study shows in mice that AKG increases bone mass in aged mice suggesting that AKG could be used to prevent age-related bone loss.
Also at the end I will be revealing a free supplement giveaway!
