This video tutorial was a request in a social media group [way too long ago] but I decided to finish the edit and narration nevertheless and show how to design and colour a mandala design based on vector lines and tapered strokes.
In this video, I use symbols, the pencil tool, tapered strokes, and circles to quickly design the lineart of the mandala. I then take two different approaches to colour the design. Using more symbols and placing coloured shapes below the lineart is one. The vector flood fill tool in v2 is another. Either way, it's a quick and easy process to create complex-looking designs.
