You're going to hate me for this one...this is one of my very favorite "secret weapon" core training exercises.
I call it the Ab Ripper...you're not literally going to rip your abs...it's just going to feel like it due to the push-pull nature of it.
You'll be doing a single-arm dumbbell bench press while at the same time doing a single arm cable pulldown/row (similar weight on each exercise).

As you're pushing the dumbbell UP, you're pulling the cable DOWN.
However, even though you're doing a back and chest exercise, as I mentioned, that's NOT the focus of the exercise.
This puts INCREDIBLE cross-tension on the core, which trains the deep muscles (obliques and transverse abdominis) for dealing with force transfer (which is critical for all sports).
