On Aug. 28, 2025 in Albuquerque, a BCSO helicopter reported a laser strike. Using the forward camera, deputies tracked a Volkswagen and arrested passenger Laney McDonald, 25, accused of shining the laser and temporarily blinding Deputy Sanchez.
