On July 4, 2025, officers responded to a 911 call reporting shoplifting at a Winn-Dixie. The caller said two women—one with dark hair and one with red hair—were seen stealing merchandise and trying to leave. When officers arrived and made contact, the situation escalated and a suspect allegedly resisted and struck an officer.
The suspect was identified as 37-year-old Latonya Denise Alexander. A search reportedly recovered multiple stolen items, including food concealed in her clothing. This is body cam footage of the events that followed.
