My friend Shawn (Shawn's Trains on Youtube!) set up a visit for my friends and I during our trip up to Madison, WI for the big Mad City train show recently.
This layout is stunningly beautiful. Dave, the owner, has put 20 years into building the railroad. He is the owner of Superior Scenics, a model scenery manufacturer located in Janesville, WI. All the trees on the layout are hand made. The ballast is crushed and screened by him and his wife. Both products are available for purchase on his website, superiorscenics.com
