It's February, and that means the Mad City show was just held in Madison, WI. This huge model railroad show and sale is held in the Alliant Energy Center, a 255,000 square foot event venue. Trains galore fill the hall; everything railroad imaginable for sale, and on display.
My friends and I are vendors at this show every year, and come up a couple of days before to railfan, and set up our booth. It's an event we look forward to every year. We always have a great time talking with all the familiar faces, seeing the variety of layouts, visiting with friends, and of course, buying and selling trains!
If you've never been, consider marking next year's event on your calendar. You won't be disappointed.
